TAI CHI TUTOR

FRANK

Frank has been offering Tai Chi tutoring for more than 40 years. Even while dealing with cancer, he keeps teaching from his bed in the Macmillan Unit! Before this devastating illness took hold, he ran 3 successful weekly classes in Antrim, and has received many loving and caring messages of support from his students.

THE WALKER!

TERRY

When he's not out walking, Terry is a passionate fan and dedicated practitioner of the ancient art of Tai Chi. Inspired by his deep respect and admiration for Frank’s teaching, he has undertaken a remarkable 100-mile walk to raise funds for Macmillan, the organisation currently caring for Frank.

THE CHARITY

MACMILLAN

Founded in 1911 by civil servant Douglas Macmillan after his father’s death from cancer, the charity grew from his deep compassion and advocacy for humane causes. Despite no medical training, Douglas dedicated his life to helping others. He died of cancer in 1969. Today, Macmillan is one of the UK’s largest charities, providing expert care and support to people living with cancer.
